Where I’ve Been and Where I’m Going

About that hiatus…

I reached an impasse with CarolinaBlush in the past couple of months. Creativity came to a halt in this think-tank. I started to wonder what I’m actually doing with my life and where it’s going. I moped around, watched way too much reality TV and dramatically screamed at the sky, “What is happening to me?”
Not that theatrical, but I’m a drama queen at heart so I want y’all to get the idea.

I knew it was time for a change, and I’m happy to have family and friends around me who helped push me to achieve that change.

I have recently decided to move to Chicago and pursue my career in communication and brand management.
I know, the feature image didn’t give anything away at all!

Official Countdown: 11 Days

See, the problem was not just finding creativity with this blog. The problem was finding creativity in all aspects of my life. I was dwindling.

I hope all who see this and read it can find inspiration. If you feel like your inspo has gone away, take it back. It’s easy to get caught up in what’s around you and sort of lose sight of the end-goal you set for yourself yesterday, last month or even last year.

Save your money, keep on working and make that end-goal a reality.

I know that I can have a lot to lose moving to a new city, but I do not want to be that person spending most of her life asking, “what if?”

I want to spend my life living, checking boxes and asking, “what’s next?”

As I’m packing up my belongings and eagerly awaiting my shipment from the Container Store, in hopes it will help neatly organize my belongings in a 7’x9′ room, I thought it was a good as time as ever to provide a life update and get back to the swing of things.

I started my blog this past year because I wanted to write about things I love. These “things” may be stupid to other people who shake their heads and laugh at fashion or beauty how-to’s. To me, these “things” are fun to write and, more importantly, I think they are fun to share.

So, I will continue sharing.

Happy Fourth,
Caroline
